Signs & Symptoms : Checklist 2

More often than not, children do not tell us what discomfort they face, merely because they thought what they experience is normal. Hence, parents & teachers should watch out for these habits or signs in children. Their “laziness” may actually be due to eye problems.

These are what we may see or perceive

  • Not doing well in school
  • Do not like doing homework
  • Short attention span
  • “Copy” differently from what’s written on the board
  • Avoid reading
  • Taking frequent breaks while reading
  • Only read for a short while

Signs & Symptoms : Checklist 3

Do you have any of the following symptoms?

  • (Very) poor night vision
  • Do you experience blurry or cloudy vision?
  • Does your vision deteriorates even further in bright light?
  • Do you see halos around lights (at night)?
  • Do you experience fading of colours? (Especially colours blue & purple)
  • Do you see floaters, flashes & spots? They may be harmless, but may also indicate a serious problem.

Signs & Symptoms : Checklist 4

In general, human beings come equipped with two eyes and one brain ☺. The successful teaming of the two eyes allows us to see in 3 dimensions (3D) – depth, height & width – with precision. 3D vision is used when you or your children are crossing the road, while driving, playing sports, and so on.

Go through the following checklist. If you have some or all of the signs & symptoms, visit your optometrist at Menara Optometry nearest outlet.
